In Rotation 2 : Lissie - Pursuit of Happiness (Kid Cudi Cover)

I heard this song for the first time today and probably for the 10th time in the past hour. Its one of those songs that you just can't stop listening to, so here it sits on my speakers playing on direct rotation over and over again. The guitar, the beat, and most of all Lissie's voice are pure magic on this song. I have to give credit to Kid Cudi for the original, which is a great track in itself. The original version is driven by a slow and heavy beat combined with a soft swagger in Cudi's voice. In the cover, Lissie brings the lyrics to the forefront and lets the music intensify her words. Her performance transforms the song into something deeply impactful.
